Birds

These are probably going to be cards that may or may not be sold from somewhere. Eventually. I have too much work on. I also have a hangover.

Jen & Loki

Jen and Loki. Loki is the dog, Jen is the human person. It was her birthday a couple days ago so I did this card for her.

Bird Thing

I've put a couple more things on the website. There's more stuff in the papercut portrait bit, which you've probably already seen and a new handmade toy thing up. Go look.

Catingall.co.uk

These fancy-pants photographs are by Jade Starmore who is awfully good and very nice, she wanted me to make a bird for a girl's hair. So I did.

I have a shoot with her on the 5th September involving the wolves from a few posts ago. IT IS VERY EXCITING.

Meet Me in St Louis

More papercuts. I work in a bar-cafe type establishment called St Louis, after the film, Meet Me in St Louis, starring Judy Garland who's love interest is Tom Drake, (I did not know who Tom Drake was, I've never actually seen the film, but according to IMDB he was in an episode of Ironside in 1973 and I frickin' love Ironside so he's amazing in my book). So they were short signs for the toilet doors so I suggested doing a picture of the wonderful Judy on the ladies' and Tom on the gents'. Which I went and did. You see.

I'm really quite chuffed with ol' Judy up there but Tom's nose is annoying me. Face-on images are bad.

I'm not sure of what it means that the very first public hangings of my work are on toilet doors.

My Dad at his finest

This is my Dad sleeping in a Christmas hat as he is wont to do post Christmas dinner. It is on a card. I am considering selling greetings cards with custom papercut portraits. Stupid idea? Anyone want one?

EDIT - OK. Set up a shop should anyone want such nonsense as this. FOLKSY BUTTON TO THE RIGHT PEOPLE. CLICK IT. TELL YOUR FRIENDS. I NEED SOME NEW SHOES.

Butternut Squash Gnocchi

Have a recipe. This is what I did yesterday. It's wheat-free and piss-easy. I guess you could use normal flour instead of funny stuff. If you're that way inclined.

Website

I gone and did a website. Well, the amazing and wonderful Mark Weallans did. As soon as he stops making websites for his demanding friends and makes his own I'll post a link.

I haven't really decided on the organisation yet, I just got a bit overexcited and shoved it all in somehow.

I'm not sure about the homepage image. Too cluttered? Messy? Tacky? Thoughts?

Anyway go look.

Is 'Dragonfly' one word or two?

A dragonfly. From a while back. I promise to stop posting papercut things soon.

That's a lie actually, I promise nothing of the sort.

An Inspector Calls

A college project. The brief was to illustrate a double page spread for an article about The 100 Greatest Plays using a specific play. I chose An Inspector Calls because it's wonderful. And I went and did this. It's a papercut messed about with in Photoshop. I got a blister doing it because my scalpel is rubbish and hates me.

My name

I made an alphabet. This is my name. I don't know what to use it for yet but when I do it will be amazing.

Polly & Colin

This was a college project to illustrate a few pages from a children's book. Mine was imaginatively titled 'Polly & Colin'. Colin was obviously a dinosaur. He is in the egg.
Click the images to make 'em all big.
